Looking for a lift for your loose, saggy skin? Ultherapy may be just the solution! Ultherapy is a new, non-surgical lifting procedure that uses tried-and-true ultrasound technology to gradually strengthen and tone your skin from deep within.

In a couple of hours – and without any downtime – you’ll be well on your way to tighter, firmer, better-fitting skin. Ultherapy utilizes the Ulthera® System, which is the first and only device cleared by the FDA for use as a non-invasive treatment for the brow, face and neck. For the first time ever, we can achieve significant lifting by focusing the energy specifically into the deep foundation below the skin that is addressed in surgery, as well as into the skin itself. In other words, we are improving skin quality from the inside out.

Ultherapy is the only cosmetic procedure to use ultrasound imaging, which allows us to see the layers of tissue we target during treatment and ensure that the energy is delivered precisely to where it will be most productive. By “micro-focusing” the ultrasound waves at the level of the muscle, skin and the subcutanous space, we stimulate collagen in multiple levels to get an overall lift.  The creation of collagen creates the visible effects of lifting and tightening, as well as the invisible result of maintaining youthful skin.

Surgical facelifts will always be a viable option, but there are many people who aren’t ready for that and are looking for non-surgical options that produce a meaningful effect. Ultherapy is a convenient “anytime” procedure that takes 60-90 minutes and entails no special recuperation. Just one treatment, sometimes two, is needed to get a meaningful response. Patients may enjoy some initial effect but the ultimate lifting and toning will take place over 2-3 months, as tired collagen is replaced with new, more elastic collagen. As this collagen-building process continues, further improvements can appear up to 6 months following a procedure. Patients like that the process is natural and that the effect is gradual.

Patients treated with Ultherapy still have fresh young collagen after at least year’s time following the procedure, but skin continues to age. Future touch-up treatments can help keep pace with the aging process, which varies by individual.

Ultherapy is complementary to other procedures addressing more superficial tissue such as lasers. Ultherapy is uplifting literally and figuratively—patients like exerting some control over the effects of gravity.
