The number of units of Botox that are used for crow’s feet depends on your anatomy, your injector and your goals. The number of units used on each side of the face can range from as little as 4 to 5 units up to as much as 15-20 per side. If you don’t have very strong muscles,5 units on each side works really well and gives a natural look. However, if you want very little movement ,or you don’t want to see any of those lines, I’ll start with 10 units per side. If you have really strong muscles I may go up to 20 units per side. That amount is safe to use.Dr Sturm Sitting in the Lobby

Does Botox for crow’s feet look natural?

Botox for crow’s feet does look natural, especially when we start with small amounts and build from there. The key for me when injecting crow’s feet with botox is to treat the entire crow’s feet area. Some injectors will just inject the outer corners of the eyes where you see the lines, but when you smile, the whole area from the corners of your eyes down through your cheekbones move. While I prefer this method, some patients don’t like the way that they look when Botox is injected on the cheekbone. It’s a personal preference that we discuss before treating the area.. Most people look really natural when injecting the whole area and it doesn’t appear as if part of the face isn’t moving. Instead everything moves the same way, making it the most natural treatment choice.

How long does Botox for crow’s feet last?

Botox for crow’s feet lasts about the same amount of time as it does when injected anywhere else, which is roughly three to four months. Whether we  use Botox, Dysport, or any of the other neurotoxins, the length of time is about the same. There are some people who can get six months out of it due to their individual metabolisms, but for.most people it lasts three to four months.
